Transport Planner - Co Meath
Our client, a leading transport company with a large, modern fleet of trucks and trailers is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Transport planner to join their team.
Location: Ashbourne, Co Meath
Work Schedule: 8am - 5pm (Mon - Fri)

Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and monitor client job orders efficiently using their transport management software.
- Coordinate and organise loads and routes with the transportation team and drivers.
- Plan and consolidate routes to ensure cost-effective, timely deliveries.
- Liaise with drivers to ensure jobs align with client requirements and expectations.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on collection and delivery times.
- Perform routine administrative and general office duties to support daily operations.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make clear decisions and manage multiple tasks in a team or independently.
- A confident communicator with excellent organisational skills and the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
- Proficiency in computer skills is essential.
- Prior experience in a similar role is beneficial but not mandatory-we value a willingness to learn and grow.
- Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
