Senior Sales Executive

Our client has nearly 56 years experience in the logistics/supply chain industry is looking to recruit a Senior Sales Executive. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for securing new customers, maintaining and developing existing accounts.
  • Meet and exceed targets set in terms of contributing and generating revenue
  • Conduct and report on sales leads and transform these into revenue generating business
  • Maintain records of customer details and contact touch points
  • Identify potential customers and register opportunities; relentlessly pursue additional opportunities (Value Added Services) leading to revenue for the company
  • Regularly visit existing accounts validating our service levels and develop new revenue streams
  • Assimilate market information and take part in the overall business development through weekly / monthly sales meetings and coaching
  • Independently qualify potential sales opportunities including the full scope of customer potential
  • Report on all progress and the completion of sales targets
  • Willingness to travel as needed

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Customer focused, with an awareness of logistics, warehousing, value added services and customer service concepts. Direct experience within the logistics/pharmaceutical/nutritional/dairy markets will be a distinct advantage
  • Meet and exceed revenue targets set per service portfolio
  • Willingness and demonstrated ability to sell both Inside (phone and email solicitation) & Outside (face-to-face meetings, proposals, closings)
  • Motivated, competitive and resilient attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Strategic orientation, relationship building, negotiation skills, and business acumen
  • Must be able to work under pressure and efficiently within time constraints
  • Ability to collaborate and network at all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and close deals
