SeaFreight Coordinator - Dublin 17

Our client, a top-tier Irish logistics provider, is on the lookout for a talented and proactive Sea Freight Coordinator to join their vibrant team in Dublin 17. Location: Dublin 17

Work Schedule: 9am - 5.30pm (Mon - Fri)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing shipment bookings for liner and forwarding operations.
  • Overseeing the full shipment cycle-from booking to delivery and payment.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to internal teams and external clients.
  • Negotiating with local and international vendors to secure the best rates and services.
  • Organizing transport arrangements for collections and deliveries.
  • Handling sales and purchase invoices, resolving queries as they arise.
  • Preparing rate quotations and responding to rate requests.
  • Navigating customs clearance processes, including SADs and related requirements.
  • Driving the development of sea freight services and overseeing vessel attendance.
  • Providing operational holiday cover and administrative support across freight departments as needed.
  • Engaging in occasional client visits and taking part in special projects.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in sea freight operations.
  • Proficient in MS Office and freight management systems. (CargoWise would be a distinct advantage but not essential)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
