Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (HGV Mechanic)
Our client, Bus Éireann, is seeking skilled HGV Mechanics to ensure the reliability and safety of their fleet. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standards, with a flexible approach to handling various tasks within your expertise while always prioritizing safety.
Location: Various locations across Ireland
Work Schedule: Five days over seven, following a shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct maintenance, inspection, diagnostics, and repairs on all fleet types to company standards and within safety regulations.
Perform fault finding and problem solving on complex mechanical and electrical vehicle issues.
Mentor apprentice staff as required, sharing your expertise and experience.
Liaise with garage supervisors, technical engineering teams, and vehicle suppliers on vehicle issues when necessary.
Manage time efficiently and progress repairs and inspections to consistently meet deadlines.
Ensure all tasks meet company standards and safety regulations.
Maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency.
Achieve timely completion of repairs and inspections.
Minimize Vehicle Off Road (VOR) time.
Ability to manage your workload and time independently and Work as part of the maintenance team, supporting and collaborating with colleagues.
The Ideal Candidate:
Technical Expertise: High level of technical knowledge in vehicle maintenance and repair.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications: QQI Level Six Award in a relevant field.
Desirable: Possession of a Bus licence (D).
