Description:
A challenging role within a fast-growing operations environment where the candidate will have the
opportunity to expand his/her knowledge of the different products offered within the Securities Business. The role will require the candidate to assume responsibility for day-to-day processing of the full Domestic Markets teams processes. This will involve acting as a first point of contact for any queries related to the teams' processes.
Responsibilities:
- A junior member on the Domestic markets team
- Demonstrate ability to manage internal and external client relationships, to ensure the department responsibilities and objectives are met.
- Coordinate and where necessary assist with any clerical tasks/activities within area depending on staffing levels and volumes.
- Complete daily checklist ensuring all tasks have been signed as completed.
- Daily monitoring of tasks to ensure all deliverables are completed in accordance with their corresponding cut off times
- Act as first point of contact within the team - liaise with other teams and clients to resolve escalated problems
- Complete weekly MIS reporting with justifications for volumes, aged items and fluctuations.
- Ensure Department Audit Requirements and procedures are adhered to
- Ensure the completion of all UAT for system enhancements
- Promote innovation within the team by looking at ways to streamline and improve current processes by technical enhancement or strategic positioning of functions within the group
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent Client service skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills & ability to work accurately under pressure meeting strict daily deadlines
- Maintain high work rates irrespective of fluctuating volume
- Ideally from an Operations background with a sound understanding of financial securities
- Agency & Trust /Corporate Trust Operations advantageous
