Hey are currently seeking a proactive Area Sales Manager to spearhead and expand our presence in the Galway region.

The Role:

In the role of Area Sales Manager, you'll be instrumental in driving sales growth and overseeing our skilled team of professional drivers. Your responsibilities will include building and strengthening relationships with both new and existing customers, all while leading your team to deliver outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and sustain strong, positive relationships with customers within the assigned territory, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales Growth: Drive sales of our fuel, lubricant, and service offerings by achieving or exceeding sales targets and proactively identifying new growth opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and support to a team of experienced drivers who bring deep customer insights. Foster collaboration and alignment with our sales and customer service strategy, while encouraging a positive and team-focused work environment.
  • Business Development: Strategically identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market reach and secure sustainable growth in the region.
  • Operational Excellence: Work closely with internal teams across logistics, fuel card services, and credit control to ensure efficient, seamless service delivery.
  • Reporting: Deliver regular, detailed updates on market trends and sales activities, providing valuable insights to inform management decisions and strategic planning.
  • Debtor Management: Partner with the Credit Control Manager to manage aged receivables, ensuring adherence to credit policies and maintaining healthy financial operations.

Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  • Sales Expertise: Minimum of 3 years experience in field sales, with a strong track record of driving revenue growth.
  • Leadership Acumen: Proven experience managing and motivating teams, ideally within logistics or field services, with the ability to inspire high performance.
  • Results Orientation: Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets, underpinned by strong negotiation skills and a results-driven mindset.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Exceptional commitment to customer satisfaction, with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to solving customer needs.
  • Flexibility and Mobility: Valid driver's license with the readiness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
