Our client is a leading biologics company that continues to grow and diversify to serve patients worldwide. Their site in Waterford comprises almost 800 employees who work together at a state-of-the-art biopharmaceutical and medical device campus.

Job Overview:
The Analytical Sciences & Technology (AST) Analyst will support analytical projects, ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (cGLP) and driving continuous improvement. The role involves method development, qualification, optimisation, and troubleshooting within a fast-paced biopharmaceutical environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical chemistry expertise across AST, MSAT, and site activities.
  • Develop, qualify, optimise, and transfer analytical methods.
  • Support investigations, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Identify and implement analytical improvements.
  • Train analysts on new techniques and methods.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with cGLP and cGMP.
  • Ensure laboratory readiness for audits and regulatory inspections.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Degree in Science (Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred).
  • Experience in a laboratory setting, ideally in pharma/biopharma.
  • Strong understanding of quality labs, cGLP, and compliance regulations.
  • Ability to manage projects within time lines and budgets.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
