Accounts Assistant
Location: South Monaghan
4 Day week Permanent, Onsite
Our client, a reputable Irish company with a strong industry presence in Storage & Logistics are seeking an Accounts Assistant. This individual will play a key role in the Finance team, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling financial accounts, and supporting the preparation of management accounts and budgets. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented candidate looking to further develop their career in accounting and financial management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payables - invoice approval and processing of supplier invoices, reconciliation of creditor control accounts to supplier statements
Monitor expenditure through the accounts, ensuring there is a robust PO approval process across all departments, check for cost and accuracy
Review of accounts, process prepayments and accruals
Assist with preparation of management accounts
Assist in preparation of the annual budget
Maintain fixed asset register for additions/disposals and monthly depreciation
Maintain lease schedules for additions/disposals and monthly lease charge
Reconcile the relevant P&L and Balance Sheet accounts
Work with IT to troubleshoot any issues with the Sage system
Oversee Accounts Receivables function
Assist with year-end audit
Other finance duties as required
What the Ideal Candidate needs:
Part-qualified Accountant or AITI qualification preferable
Book-keeping and accounting experience necessary
Experience with Sage or other Accounting System
Experience working with MS Office and strong IT skills
Ability to work on own initiative and part of a team
